The college football AP Poll has been released for Week 3, and here are the biggest winners and losers from the new rankings.

After another wild week of college football action, there were some changes in the newest edition of the AP Poll. In fact, the Week 3 poll was released on Sunday afternoon and there were some shake-ups from top to bottom.

Although the major upsets took place outside of the top 25 — looking at you, Baylor — there was still plenty of action that took place between ranked teams last week that shook things up. It wasn’t quite as busy of a week without the Florida teams in action, so those teams didn’t take much of a hit in the rankings.

However, Oklahoma and Ohio State squared off in the marquee matchup of the week. The No. 2 Buckeyes hosted the fifth-ranked Sooners, but the latter got revenge for a 21-point loss last season in Norman. Oklahoma pulled out the victory and it reflected in this week’s AP Poll.

Some other ranked matchups that had bearing over the newest poll were Notre Dame vs. Georgia, Clemson vs. Auburn and USC vs. Stanford. All three games were part of Saturday’s must-see TV lineup and didn’t disappoint.

It’s hard to believe the third week of the season is already here, but that’s what the calendar tells us. The season is already progressing quickly, much to the chagrin of college football fans everywhere.

Let’s take a look at the biggest winners and losers from the Week 3 AP Poll.
