Dak Prescott’s sweat quenched Twitter’s thirst for a SNF meme

Dak Prescott’s perfuse perspiration was the subject of your first Sunday Night Football meme of the NFL season.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott sweats. A lot.

Like, a lot a lot.

If you didn’t know that before Sunday night, then Twitter made sure to let you know about it. Prescott has been doing this his whole career but it seemed that Sunday Night was when Twitter decided to band together to make him into our first Sunday Night Football meme of the season.

Prescott has a lot of pressure to live up to after his stunning first season last year. Before he even took a snap in a regular season game, some pundits were pegging him as an MVP candidate, aligning him with the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady — in Year Two.

That’s a strong take, but it’s also a decent segue into listening to people obsess over how damn much Dak was sweating on national television. This would be a great spot for a ‘Why does Dak Prescott sweat so much’ post, but I have no idea so that would be useless. Great, now I’m sweating. Quick, look at Dak!

No, it’s not just you Brock. In fact, it was a widespread observation that helped unify us as a nation for just a few moments.

Probably not, but good try. Everyone needed to have a Dak take and they can’t all be winners. Anyways…

Thank goodness for Dak’s sweat, as it distracted Twitter from the fact that he started the game rough throwing the ball. Dallas had a goal line chance early in the game and decided not to hand it to Zeke Elliott for an easy score. The result was three incompletions for Dak.

New York had Dak’s number last season, counting as two of Dallas’ three losses. If I were Dak, I’d be sweating bullets before this game too.

Also, I’m highly disappointed with the lack of Jordan Peele Sweating dot gif. If there was ever a moment for that GIF to shine, it’s now yet we’ve left it in the basement.
