Dan Fouts Division

6. Russell Wilson (Prev: 5)

Wilson had almost no chance in Green Bay, being pressured on 40 percent of his dropbacks. The Seahawks can’t block and don’t have a single premier weapon, leaving Wilson out to dry. His numbers were bad against Green Bay (14-of-27 for 158 yards) but he no time, and no chance.

5. Ben Roethlisberger (Prev: 4)

By his standards, Roethlisberger had a very average day at the office. The Steelers beat the Browns by a field goal with Roethlisberger going 24-of-36 for 263 yards with two scores and an interception. Ultimately, Pittsburgh gets a victory and moves on to play the Vikings in Week 2. Ho hum.

Joe Montana Division

4. Matt Ryan (Prev: 6)

Ryan picked up right where he left off in 2016. The reigning MVP threw for 321 yards and a touchdown, averaging more than 10 yards per attempt. The Falcons barely survived in Chicago, but Ryan looked like a juggernaut.

3. Drew Brees (Prev: 3)

Brees was average in his first start of the season, throwing for almost 300 yards in a loss to the Vikings. However, much of that yardage came in garbage time with New Orleans hopefully behind. Still, Brees is one of the lite signal-callers in the game, and he faces New England’s defense this week.

2. Tom Brady (Prev: 2)

Brady was bad against Kansas City, completing only 16-of-36 for 263 yards and zero touchdowns. The Patriots gave him decent protection throughout much of the night with the Chiefs only rushing three, but he couldn’t hit on most of his deep balls. Look for him to throw for 500 yards against New Orleans.

1. Aaron Rodgers (Prev: 1)

Rodgers is the most-talented quarterback we’ve ever seen. On Sunday, he faced down the vaunted Seahawks and while he did toss an interception, he was mostly brilliant. Rodgers continuously extended plays and threw receivers open, going for 311 yards in the victory. Right now, there is nobody better.
