Alabama fan expresses concern for a freshman quarterback from Hawaii.

Sometimes it seems as if the Alabama fanbase enjoys giving everybody else a reason to laugh at them. On an online forum, a Crimson Tide faithful expressed their concern for freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his transition to the United States. The only problem? Tagovailoa is from Hawaii.

Every fanbase has those fans. You know, the fans who you wish would stop talking because they’re embarrassing your favorite team and making everybody else look dumb. Yup, those fans. Although we’ve all experienced this on one occasion or another, it seems as if no one has it as bad as Alabama fans.

First and foremost, this man begins his post with “I haven’t heard it mention[ed].” Well, hate to break it to you Chattown Tider, but you’re the only one mentioning it. And for good reason. In any case, the poor commenter’s probably trying to help the young quarterback out, and the sports world commends him for that.

But, by the same token, Chattown Tider needs to learn where Hawaii is. The fact he mentioned being shipped to Vietnam means he’s at least in your 50’s by now. Hawaii was either integrated as a state during his lifetime or was fairly new during his childhood. The fact of the matter is, it’s simple geography.

All things considered, Tagovailoa didn’t play poorly by any means in his first college game. The Hawaiian made a brief appearance against Fresno State and managed a touchdown and 64 yards on 6-of-9 passing. Ultimately, all parties involved will get a kick out of this forum post. Especially opposing teams, as they’ll have a field day with their game day signs. As for Chattown Tider, hopefully someone teaches him a geography lesson.
