Colts, Andrew Luck reportedly growing apart
Reports claim that the two sides are drifting apart as Andrew Luck wants out.
According to ESPN’s Mike and Mike, Andrew Luck is beginning to question his future in Indianapolis. The Colts’ star quarterback is rumored to want out of Indy as his relationship with the organization has gone south.
This of course is bad news for Indianapolis, who suffered a 46-9 beating at the hands of the Rams in Week 1. Although the Colts played without Luck against Los Angeles and will continue to play without him for an undisclosed amount of time, the front office plans to have him back. These reports will trouble the Colts, especially since Luck signed a six-year mega-deal in 2016.
What was once one of the league’s most successful franchises has now become a dumpster fire. Unfortunately, there’s no other way to describe them or tip-toe around the situation anymore. The organization who once relied on the great Peyton Manning, is now being driven by Scott Tolzien. Luck, the Colts’ presumed franchise quarterback, has seen his career plagued by injuries. However, when he’s been healthy, Luck has led Indianapolis to massive success, considering the team around him.

The 28-year-old was the No. 1 overall pick in 2012 and from then on, has been tasked with being the future of the Colts. But, as time rolls on, uncertainty levels rise. Chuck Pagano’s future hangs on by a thread. Much like Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati, his fate seems all but sealed.
The Colts front office is now being faced with a daunting task. The organization will need to make some drastic changes in order to keep the three-time Pro Bowler around. That’s a big ask of any executive. However, the Colts have to like their chances with new general manager Chris Ballard, who is one of football’s brightest minds.
