Sit: Alshon Jeffery

Jeffery’s debut for Philadelphia was a quiet one. He only had three catches for 38 yards even though Carson Wentz threw for 307, and didn’t look like the dominant “alpha” receiver the Eagles wanted when they signed him to a 14 million dollar deal. It’s early days, but this offense looks to have more of a “share the wealth” style than focusing on one star.

The Eagles travel to Kansas City on Sunday, the team who shot right to the top of most power rankings, and Jeffery will face up against one of the best corners in the game in Marcus Peters. Granted, the secondary won’t look as strong without Eric Berry, but if Peters is matched up on the Eagles’ top wideout, he could be silenced for most of the game. The Patriots were still able to move the ball against the Chiefs and score 27 points, so there may be room for fantasy production for your Philadelphia players, but look for a quiet outing from Jeffery.

It’s not time to panic yet if you’re a Jeffery owner, but the next few games could be telling. He faces Peters, Janoris Jenkins, Jason Verrett, then Patrick Peterson. Is he a stud or not?
