The Philadelphia Eagles will head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in a matchup of 1-0 teams on Sunday inside Arrowhead Stadium.
In a matchup of two teams who got off to a good start to the 2017 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles will head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. The Chiefs are coming off a solid victory over the New England Patriots on the road in Week 1, and because they played on Thursday, they will have had ten days to prepare for the Eagles. Philadelphia also went on the road in Week 1, beating division rival soundly inside FedEx Field.
For the Chiefs, the win did not come without some kind of a loss, as star safety Eric Berry is done for the season with an Achilles tendon rupture. On the flip side, they did get a great effort from quarterback Alex Smith, who looked like a different player by throwing downfield often. Rookie Kareem Hunt was the story in the victory over the Pats, as he accounted for three touchdowns in his NFL debut.
The Eagles were led by their second-year quarterback Carson Wentz, who is looking to take the next step forward in 2017. Wentz threw for over 300 yards against the Redskins, finding the end zone twice. On the defensive side of the ball, the team was able to harass Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins all night, leading to four sacks and an interception in the game.

Prediction
This game as the potential to be a good one on Sunday, as both teams appear headed towards a possible playoff appearance in 2017. It will be interesting to see if Smith continues to push the ball downfield via the pass, as he is known more for being a game manager. Wentz looks like he is going to build off a solid preseason, and with a brand new cast of weapons around him, he just might lead the Birds to the top of the NFC East.
Philadelphia is coming into a very hostile environment, as the Chiefs are nearly impossible to beat at home. They are going to move the ball in spurts, but the Chiefs should be able to clamp down and come away with the victory in this one. Keep an eye on Kareem Hunt, as he looks to build off his stunning NFL debut against the Pats.
Final Score: Chiefs 27, Eagles 21
