UCLA Bruins star quarterback Josh Rosen might be human after all. Here he is trying to force a pass into a tight window and getting pick-sixed by Memphis.

The UCLA Bruins have the best quarterback prospect in Josh Rosen since Troy Aikman played in Los Angeles back in the late 1980s. Rosen is only a true junior, but projects as a top-five pick in the 2018 NFL Draft should he leave school early.

He entered the second half of his team’s road game versus the Memphis Tigers with 11 touchdowns and no interceptions on the season. However, Rosen would make a terrible decision trying to force a pass into a tight window. He would be pick-sixed by Memphis outside linebacker Tim Hart to make it a 10-point deficit for UCLA.

It was fine though, as Rosen would orchestrate another touchdown drive on the next series, finding junior wide receiver Jordan Lasley for six. Watching Rosen go to work is a delight. You can see him transitioning very well to the next level as that Matt Ryan/Jared Goff quarterbacking prototype.

However, that pass by Rosen should not have happened. He had ample space in front of him to scramble for a few yards, maybe even getting a first down with this legs. Instead, he channeled his inner 2009 NFC Championship Game Brett Favre and threw across his body for no reason.

Hart would jump that pass Rosen would throw across his body for the 60-yard pick-six. Memphis has played very well in this game. The Tigers seem to have the right head coach in Mike Norvell. Replacing Justin Fuente who went to Virginia Tech was going to be difficult, but Norvell has his program playing very well in this game.

The Bruins don’t have the defense to stop most teams. However, they have Chosen Rosen at quarterback and he can lead them to victories fall Saturday after fall Saturday.
