Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas played his 10,000th consecutive snap on Sunday, and LeBron James took notice.

Cleveland Browns legend, and perhaps one of the best offensive lineman to ever wear pads, Joe Thomas, accomplished an amazing feat today. He played in 10,000 consecutive snaps. I repeat, 10,000! That means he has not missed one snap of football during the course of his incredible 11-year career.

Many people of course took notice, including another Cleveland legend, LeBron James himself. The King went on to congratulate Thomas on twitter, and what was an amazing gesture.

Thomas has never made the playoffs during his career, as the Browns have not been good for a long time. It’s an absolute shame considering the caliber player he is, and he is a sure first-ballot Hall of Famer once he is eligible. He certainly has not been to blame, and he is the most notable player on the Browns, which is uncommon for someone who plays his position. He has been named to the Pro Bowl 10 times, a First Team All-Pro seven times, and of course won numerous awards in college during his years at Wisconsin.

In a day and age where players are getting hurt left and right, it’s amazing to see a player who has been able to withstand the physical hardships that come with being an NFL player. Thomas also plays a position in left tackle where he is constantly part of a ton of contact, and has to protect his quarterbacks life essentially.

Thomas has protected numerous quarterbacks during his career, which has contributed to the Browns struggles. We must all appreciate and commend what Thomas has done during his career, as we may never see an offensive lineman who has been as dominant, and reliable as Thomas.
