There was a lot of negativity in the air following the Canelo vs. GGG decision on Saturday night, but this parody video may ease some pain.

Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin had the fight boxing and combat sports fans had hoped for. Unfortunately, the highly entertaining, competitive battle between Alvarez and Golovkin ended in controversy as it was ruled a draw.

It wasn’t the draw in particular that had fans in an uproar, it was the scorecard of Judge Adalaide Byrd, who scored it 118-110 for Alvarez, that is the center of the controversy.

With all of the negativity surrounding Byrd’s scorecard in Saturday night’s blockbuster main event, the wonderful world of the internet has provided a piece of positivity. Twitter user Mojahed Fudailat created a hilarious animated video to parody everything that happened at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Featured in the short video include the fighters themselves, Joe Rogan, Brendan Schuab, boxing analyst Teddy Atlas, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Byrd and others. Watch the video below.

The other judges’ scorecards read a 114-114 draw and 115-113 score for Gennady Golovkin. The scorecard of Byrd should not take away from what the two combatants brought to the table on Saturday night in Las Vegas. Golovkin seemed to turn it on in the third round, starting to land the more clear shots and snagged a bit of momentum after a fantastic fourth round. Alvarez was scoring himself in the back-and-forth contest, and really opened up eyes with an 11th round that featured an incredible output even though he looked like fatigue had set in.

In the end, both fighters delivered on the big stage in Las Vegas, but the scorecard of one judge left a sour taste in the mouths of combat sports fans around the world. Both Canelo and GGG seem very interested in a rematch, and it is fair to say that Byrd will probably not be sitting ringside with a pencil in her hand if it happens.
