2. Oklahoma State Cowboys

Rank: 6, Opponent: (16) TCU Horned Frogs

Mason Rudolph and the Oklahoma State Cowboys have been rolling without a hiccup through their first three games of the 2017 season. They’ve scored 59 points in a game twice already this season, with their low point total on the year being 44 points — ho-hum. However, one thing that stands out about Oklahoma State to this point is that they haven’t truly been tested in terms of quality of opponent. That all changes in Week 4 as they start Big 12 play by welcoming the TCU Horned Frogs to Stillwater.

As the Cowboys enter this game unbeaten, so too do the Horned Frogs. What’s interesting, though, is that TCU might actually have a more impressive run of wins to start their season. While a 63-0 victory over Jacksonville State isn’t turning any heads, two quality wins at Arkansas and then against SMU are impressive. What’s more, their defense has been quite good to this point. Yes, they allowed 36 points to the Mustangs, but SMU has a lethal overall attack that can score on most teams.

Obviously that defense will need to be at full force on Saturday if they’re going to take down Oklahoma State. But not only do they have the defense, they showed against SMU that they can also put points on the board. Though inconsistent, Kenny Hill is undeniably talented. And TCU also has a plethora of running backs with big-play ability. If the Cowboys defense struggles in their first test, the Horned Frogs have all they need to capitalize and pull off the upset.
