Some of the top contenders in this year’s NASCAR Playoffs are starting up front again at New Hampshire.

Kyle Busch seems determined to try to start on the pole for every race in this year’s NASCAR Playoffs. So far, so good.

Busch took the Coors Light Pole Award last week at Chicagoland and made it two in a row during qualifying for the ICM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Kyle Larson, another driver with serious championship aspirations, will start beside him on Row 1.

Playoff drivers took 13 of the top 14 qualifying spots on Friday evening, with only rookie Erik Jones intruding by starting eighth. Austin Dillon and Ryan Newman weren’t too far from that group in 17th and 18th, respectively, while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will try to rally in the actual race after starting 24th.

Among notable non-playoff drivers, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will take the green flag in 15th position, while Joey Logano failed to make it through inspection and will start dead last in 39th.
