After a horrible start to the season, Baylor is keeping up with Oklahoma on Saturday night. It’s safe to say Twitter isn’t having it.

Baylor came into the 2017 college football season with questions marks. Matt Rhule took over as the head coach, but of a program that was decimated by the sexual assault allegations of the past year.

To make matters worse, the Bears dropped their first three games of the season. Two of them were to Liberty and UTSA, schools that had no business defeating a Big 12 team. However, they pulled off wins and sent this program into a deeper tailspin.

Week 4 had Baylor match up with Oklahoma, one of the top teams in the nation. That spelled disaster before the game began. However, through three quarters, Baylor found a way to keep up with the Sooners, and even had the lead, 31-28. A late touchdown put the No. 3 team up, 35-31.

College football fans on Twitter were all over this at the end of the third quarter, especially with Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield’s taunt before the game. What did everyone have to say?

Everyone seems shocked with the score, and with good reason. No one expected them to keep up with the Sooners, with the game as a potential blowout. However, that’s far from the case in Waco, TX.

If Oklahoma falls, it’s a devastating loss. It hurts their chances at getting into the College Football Playoff, while impacting their case for the Big 12 Conference Championship Game. Oklahoma State also lost on Saturday, so the top of the conference could look different by the end of the night.
