ESPN College GameDay Week 4: Best signs from Times Square
Taking a look at the best ESPN College GameDay signs from Week 4 of the 2017 season as the pregame show took over Times Square for a historic moment
When it comes to ESPN College GameDay, one thing that you always expect is for the pregame show to set up shop at the biggest or most important game of the week. That’s just the expectation that they’ve built over the years, and a reasonable one at that. However, they decided to flip the script in Week 4 of the 2017 season by setting up shop in Times Square in New York City.
In case you were unaware, there aren’t any college football teams that play in Times Square (although that would surely be a sight to see). Instead, the College GameDay crew took over the famous area of NYC simply to make history. And without a doubt, it looked cool seeing the set there.
Having said that, one of the questions about bringing College GameDay to New York City was how it would affect the signs. On one hand, you had to wonder how not being at an actual game would influence the signs around the set. However, there’s also the chance that being in such a big, diverse city that there would be just a greater mix of signs.

As it turns out, the truth was closer to the latter option. There was very little consistency, but there were plenty of great signs with a little bit of Big Apple flavor. Let’s take a look at the best College GameDay signs from Week 4:

It’s definitely still weird to see the Saturday morning tradition not on a campus. However, it was still cool to see the set in Times Square. What’s more, the fans showed up and delivered with the GameDay signs. In the end, what more can you ask for?
