College Football AP Top 25 – Week 5: Winners and losers
With the release of the Week 5 AP Top 25, which college football teams won and lost in the newest poll?
College football is moving right along as we are just a week from October. The fourth week of the season is in the books now and the newest AP Top 25 was released on Sunday afternoon.
After some wild action on Saturday night, it’s easy to see why there was so much movement. A few ranked teams played each other, unranked teams with chances to crack the top 25 faced off and some ranked squads dropped to unranked foes.
The 2017 season is shaping up to be one of the best and most intriguing in recent memory, but there’s still a ways to go.
There were some intriguing battles this past week which had a direct effect on the newest rankings. Oklahoma State, the No. 6 team in the country, faced off against No. 16 TCU and the Horned Frogs pulled off the major upset that could have postseason implications.
Georgia smacked Mississippi State just one week after the latter demolished LSU, 37-7. Alabama rocked Vanderbilt just one week after the Commodores were chanting ‘We want Bama’ — be careful what you wish for. The same goes for Purdue as it was handled at home by Michigan. Did any of those games provide this week’s winners and losers?
Take a look at the biggest winners and losers from this week’s release of the AP Poll.
