One of my top waiver wire pickups this week, Foreman has a chance to prove yet again that he’s worthy of more carries and touches when the Houston Texans face the New England Patriots in Foxborough this weekend.

Last week, Foreman had 40 yards on 12 carries carries. However, in his preseason contest against New England, he broke off a 63-yard catch-and-run after being lined up out wide. The Pats struggled with a power runner in Kareem Hunt in Week 1, and although they dealt with the New Orleans Saints and their committee approach in Week 2, it will be essential for the Texans to run the ball if they stand any chance of even keeping this contest close.

Deshaun Watson pulled out the win against Cincinnati last Thursday night, but he struggled majorly as a passer. The team can’t rely on him to put the ball in the air, so they will look to use Lamar Miller and Foreman on the ground. There’s no doubt Miller is the leader (40 touches compared to 13 so far), but the rookie is already nipping at the veteran’s heels and his time could come sooner rather than later.
