Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman went to war for the Universal title at No Mercy. Did The Beast Incarnate or The Monster Among Men come out on top?

After some great build-up to the match over the last few weeks on RAW, fans finally were treated to a battle everyone was waiting for between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman for the Universal title at No Mercy on Sunday night.

The two have gone at it plenty of times over the last couple of months, with Strowman driving the champion through two tables at SummerSlam back in August, and even standing tall over The Beast Incarnate multiple times on RAW recently. However, we finally got the two in an actual match with some huge stakes on Sunday night, and one monster had to come out on top.

After a long night of waiting with some great matches before them, two of the baddest guys in all of WWE finally went at it in the main event, and it did not disappoint whatsoever, with Strowman showing some early dominance right off the bat.

Strowman displayed some sheer strength throughout, throwing Lesnar around with ease and even delivering a power slam early that looked like it could’ve ended the match in just a few minutes. However, a Kimura lock from Lesnar began to do some damage to The Monster Among Men, and we saw Strowman finally taking some damage from the champion.

After Strowman finally recovered from a ton of suplexes and the damage to his arm, Strowman built up some strength to deliver a few more power slams to Lesnar, but couldn’t get any quick enough covers for the pin.

Once he recovered from the damage from The Monster Among Men, Lesnar delivered an F-5 out of nowhere to take down Strowman and retain his title.

Now, we don’t know where this title picture will go. Roman Reigns pulled off a big win over John Cena earlier in the night, Strowman looked impressive in his WWE title match and even Finn Balor pulled off a win over Bray Wyatt to potentially join the equation.

RAW on Monday night should provide some clarity, but who knows what’s next for Lesnar when it comes to defending the Universal title.
