WWE WrestleMania 34: Match card predictions after No Mercy

WWE’s Horsewomen vs. UFC’s Horsewomen

WWE loves their celebrity moments at WrestleMania, or just to get outside-the-company appearances. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ronda Rousey, Rob Gronkowski and Floyd Mayweather appeared at these events over the past 10 years, with The Rock and Mayweather wrestling. Gronkowski aided Mojo Rawley’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal win.

The next opportunity for this might be one of WWE’s highest-profile celebrity moments yet. It has the WWE’s Horsewomen, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks vs. the UFC’s Horsewomen, Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. They crossed paths at the Mae Young Classic.

This is a ticket-selling match for WrestleMania 34 and the way to get mainstream attention. Despite Rousey’s fallen UFC star, she’s still a polarizing figure in the entertainment world. “Rousey wrestle at WrestleMania” would be seen anywhere that covers sports, so why wouldn’t the WWE want this?

A four vs. four tag match might not create the most entertaining showing, but it will receive plenty of attention.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
The Miz (c) vs. Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe

The Intercontinental Championship was lost in the shuffle at WrestleMania 33. It was moved to the last match on the pre-show, with a forgettable effort from Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin.

As of No Mercy, The Miz remains the champion and a quality one. He’s raised the bar for the title since the night after WrestleMania 32, and should continue doing so for the future.

If the A-lister remains champion for WrestleMania 34, he should get quality opponents, not ones that will stick him in the Kickoff Show. Finn Balor and Samoa Joe aptly fit that description, with the chance at making a show-stealing Triple Threat match.

This can take the role of the AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon match from WrestleMania 33 and open the show. With a title on the line, look for to deliver — if it happens.
