With alternating reports coming from the network and NBC saying one day and changing its mind, finding out what day This Is Us will air is a bit confusing. Don’t worry, because we’ve got you covered.

Although it did not win the Emmy for Most Outstanding Drama Series, This Is Us is arguably the best show on network television. The emotional, fantastically-acted drama is set to begin season 2 relatively soon, and, if you’re all caught up, you do not want to miss it live.

That being said, NBC struggled to decide which day to air the show in the second season after airing it on Tuesday nights for the first. For a while, there were actually reports that This Is Us might move to Thursday nights. NBC decided to do just that, and it was reported that the show had been changed to air on Thursdays.

Fortunately, NBC then changed their minds and kept it on Tuesdays. This was a great move by the network because it frees up Thursday nights for their comedy block and – more importantly – does not force This Is Us to compete with Thursday Night Football.

TNF and Monday Night Football are extremely hard to compete with because they are always going to steal a large portion of the target demographic, and the network wants a show like This Is Us – one that is killing it with the target demographic — to be able to bring in more advertising money.

Plus, fans of both football and This is Us like me do not have to choose between the two, so I’m grateful for it remaining on Tuesdays.

Get ready for a fantastic second season, because the hype for This Is Us is real. I have a feeling that this show more than meets expectations after a phenomenal first season.
