3. Duke Johnson

The Cleveland Browns barely missed out on their first win of the season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, as they lost 31-28 despite outscoring the Colts 14-3 in the fourth quarter. DeShone Kizer has had his ups and downs, but Duke Johnson was the star of the show on offense, totalling 104 yards with a rushing touchdown and six catches, which led all Browns players.

Although he’s still not being used very often in the running game, he lines up out wide a large percentage of the time and that is such an important trait for a PPR back. If he’ still out there on your waiver wire, you have to make sure you snap him up.

Isaiah Crowell is dominating the carries for the Browns up to this point in the season so far, but Johnson is simply a more explosive playmaker and he showed it with a fantastic run for a touchdown on Sunday.

The Browns will want more explosive plays, and Johnson can provide them. As they continue to play catch up in most of the games, the receiving back should be on the field more often than not and is a great difference-maker for you in your PPR leagues.
