Twitter’s newest “change” is apparently moving to 280 characters in the future, and once again, no one really seems pleased with this potential new move.

We can all admit in some form or fashion that we all generally enjoy Twitter. The social media platform is one of the most prevalent out there, and it really does tend to do its job as it pertains to keeping all of us up to second with all the happenings in the world.

However, Twitter is not perfect, much like most all other things in life. You see, it seems most of the time that whenever the company announces some sort of change, it’s met with about the mildest reaction you could imagine. They try their hardest to make every change seem significant and progressive, but in reality, it tends to end up being something the users never really asked for in the first place when it comes to a new feature.

Well, here, meet the newest change the company wants to gravitate toward. If you’re one of the few out there who would like to express their thoughts on Twitter in more than 140 characters, then you’ll be quite pleased with this potential news. The company announced on Tuesday that they’re testing out a 280-character limit, pushing you closer and closer to writing that Twitter novel you’ve always dreamed of.

Here’s a visual of what our Twitter world could look like in the future.

Now I’m in no way saying there aren’t people out there who have been clamoring for an increase in characters, it’s just that having to work on Twitter for hours every day pretty much, I’ve come across few who have shared that sentiment.

You know what people do want, though, that once again they’re not getting. Yep, you guessed it … people just want to edit their dang tweets!

Yes, even yours truly has long been a member of the “LET ME EDIT MY TWEETS!” grouping.

Maybe one day, but for now, the latest change has everyone acting as if they’re preparing to read War and Peace on Twitter on a daily basis.
