Fantasy football Week 4 rankings: Who to start and sit
Sit: Marshawn Lynch
The Raiders are on the road in Denver this weekend in a huge AFC West division matchup between two 2-1 teams who had huge wins in week two followed by disappointing let down losses in Week 3 against teams they arguably should have been much better against. Perhaps they were simply looking ahead and didn’t turn up on the day, but that makes this game all the more important in the race for the West.
In order for Oakland to have success and take this game, they will want to feed Marshawn Lynch, who brings power and energy and effort on every single play. However, this week he has an extremely tough task as he faces the most stingy run defense in the NFL. The Broncos have only allowed 59.7 rushing yards per game, which leads the league, and considering Lynch only has 139 yards, 36 carries and a 3.9 yards per carry average so far, it doesn’t look good for this weekend.
I’d sit Lynch this weekend if I could, as the outlook is bleak. He’s decreased in attempts each week (18, 12 then six) and yards too (76, 45 and 18). Against Denver, that workload might improve due to the importance of the game, but it will be tough to produce.
