Fantasy football Week 4 rankings: Who to start and sit
Start: Joe Mixon
It’s finally time to see what Joe Mixon can do. After not being involved at all for the first two weeks, Cincinnati were struggling in a major way and not able to find the end zone at all. Offensive coordinator Ken Zampese was fired and replaced with Bill Lazor, and the transition to using the young running back happened immediately.
In Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers, Mixon had 18 rushing attempts for 62 yards and three catches for 39 yards, which obliterated has previous totals of 10 and 11 touches for under 50 yards in both games before. He’ll see much more of the ball moving forward.
Much has been said about Mixon’s pre-draft off-field issues, but as a fantasy football player he is a supremely talented runner who might now take over a team’s backfield. Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard should still be involved in some capacity, but Mixon is a much better runner than both and will continue to see a lot of the ball. Cincy’s offense looked improved under Lazor immediately, and Mixon has a chance to thrive moving forward.
