Josh Allen

Quarterback, Wyoming

The New York Jets were supposed to be picking Sam Darnold with the first overall pick next April. Instead, they went out and beat up on the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, and now barely make it into the top-10. While the win was great for their current players, it was very costly for the franchise, who need to secure one of the first three picks if they want to draft a franchise-changing quarterback.

If they stay at No. 10, they should be able to at least get one of the top quarterbacks in the draft. Josh Allen of Wyoming has all of the physical attributes you look for in an NFL quarterback, but he has played so poor against good competition this season. He has a lot of question marks as we inch closer to the 2018 NFL Draft, and will have to have a good combine to secure a spot in the top of the draft.

It is no secret that the Jets want Sam Darnold, and just may trade away the farm to lock up a top pick if this team continues to win. The current defense for the Jets is pretty good, so if Josh McCown protects the ball, they may actually win some games this season. That would be worst-case scenario for a franchise that has not had a true franchise quarterback since Joe Namath back in the 1960s.
