2018 NFL Mock Draft: With Jets win, QB no longer guaranteed
By Brad Weiss
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered one of the worst losses of the Week 3 schedule his past Sunday, as they dropped a big one against the Chicago Bears. The Steelers and Bears are supposed to finish on opposite sides of the spectrum this season, which made the loss pretty shocking. Still, they have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, and should be right back in the mix in the AFC this season.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has had a tremendous career, and though he appears to be headed to the finish line, he should have some good football left in him. He has talked about retirement for some time now, but it would be hard to see considering how much talent he has on the offensive side of the ball. They should look to bring in offensive line depth next April to keep him upright, and Quenton Nelson is the best guard this draft has to offer.
Despite the loss to the Bears, the Steelers will likely be picking late in the first round in April. They have the talent they need at the skill positions, and spent a first rounder on their defense in 2017. Look for them to bring in a player like Nelson with their first pick, because creating lanes for Le’Veon Bell, and protecting Big Ben has got to be the priority for the window they currently have.
