2018 NFL Mock Draft: With Jets win, QB no longer guaranteed
By Brad Weiss
The Philadelphia Eagles are off to a good start this season, and are coming off a solid victory against the New York Giants this past weekend. Quarterback Carson Wentz is a legitimate NFL player at his position, and has done a nice job working in all of his new weapons this season. They are a year ahead of schedule, and just may challenge for an NFC East title in 2017.
If the team wants Wentz to continue to develop under center, they need to keep bringing in solid talent along the offensive line. The Eagles might have the best bookends at offensive tackle in the NFC, but that does not mean you stop stockpiling talent up front. Mitch Hyatt from Clemson would fit what the do perfectly, and the team could always move him to guard if they had to.
The Eagles defense has been terrific this season, and they have one of the best pass rushes in the league. If the Eagles want to contend for an NFC East title, they need to make sure that Wentz is always standing upright. Hyatt is a wonderful offensive lineman talent, and in the City of Brotherly Love, you can never have too much talent up front.
