2018 NFL Mock Draft: With Jets win, QB no longer guaranteed
By Brad Weiss
What is happening to the Seattle Seahawks? While all the preseason talk was that they would be tone of the top teams in the NFL, they have gotten off to an embarrassing start. Nobody could have predicted that they would be sitting in the No. 8 spot in the draft at this point in the season, and it is mostly due to the fact that they one of the worst offensive lines in all of football.
The offensive line has been a killer for the Seahawks, as quarterback Russell Wilson has had to run for his life all season long. They cannot get the ball deep to their receivers, and their running game has been pretty much non-existent. They have a solid rookie running back in Chris Carson, but he is going to have a rough first year if he continues to get beat up the way he has early on.
There is still plenty of time left in the season for the Seahawks, who play in a very winnable division. The NFC West is currently being led by the Los Angeles Rams, which is another one of the bigger surprises in the NFL this season. It is still early, and Wilson is a winner, so mark me down as surprised if the Seahawks are picking in the top-10 when the draft comes around next April.
