During the playing of the national anthem before Thursday Night Football, the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and some fans linked arms to show unity before their game.

There was no protest during the playing of the national anthem before Thursday night’s football game between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. These are the two oldest rivals in football and both organizations were pure class before the start of the game.

Like Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers had suggested, the Bears, Packers and even some fans linked their arms in unison during the playing of the national anthem. The NFL is a fraternity of men that have each other’s backs through thick and thin. It was a cool moment at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football.

Chicago is coming off its first win of the season. The Bears were able to get a stunning Week 3 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Chicago nearly won its first game of the season back in Week 1 over the Atlanta Falcons at home, but came up short on the final possession. The Bears would have their doors blown off versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 2.

Green Bay is 2-1 and tied for the NFC North lead with the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers outlasted the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 1 and beat the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime in Week 3. Their lone loss of the year came on the road to the Atlanta Falcons at brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

With this game being at home for the Packers, Green Bay is the favorite to come out of Thursday Night Football with a win. That being said, this is the biggest rivalry for the Bears. They have played well in two of their first three games this season. It’s football, as anything could happen.
