Davante Adams injury update: Packers WR conscious, moving extremities

Davante Adams was knocked out cold on Thursday night against the Bears, and the initial update on his condition is some good news for now.

Thursday night as the Green Bay Packers were taking on the Chicago Bears on this week’s edition of Thursday Night Football, one of the scarier scenes of the young NFL season took place. In the third quarter of this one, Packers wide receiver Davante Adams caught a pass over the middle, and he was unfortunately soon met with a dirty hit from the Bears’ Danny Trevathan. This hit was so vicious that it knocked the Green Bay wideout out cold and he had to be stretchered off the field.

Obviously, everyone is wondering about the condition of Adams, and thankfully we were able to get one pretty quickly and the news is promising. Adams was taken to the hospital for further evaluation, where he was conscious and moving all of his extremities. Considering the nature of the hit, this is tremendous news.

Of course, Adams is not out of the woods just yet, as at the very least he probably suffered a concussion. But again, when you watch the hit over and over, it’s almost a miracle that he’s only going to come away with just that from the hit. Things could have been a lot worse coming from that, but the great news is that it doesn’t appear to be anything serious.

The Packers will probably be without the services of Adams for a bit, but we hope that he can make a speedy recovery and return to the field healthy as can been as soon as he possibly can.
