Eagles at Chargers: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
By Brad Weiss
The Philadelphia Eagles will head West in Week 4, as they travel to Carson, California to take on the winless Los Angeles Chargers.
For the Philadelphia Eagles, they have to be happy with the way things have gone early on this season. Quarterback Carson Wentz has suffered through no sophomore slump and the offense seems to be clicking. They are also coming off a victory against rival New York last weekend, where rookie kicker made a 61-yard field goal to win it as time expired.
The Los Angeles Chargers have had a reversal of fortune, as missed kicks have led to them starting the year off at 0-3. They were beaten by rival Kansas City last weekend and head into Week 4 desperately needing a win. The StubHub Center has not been kind to the team early this season, so they will be looking to change that trend on Sunday.
Quarterback Philip Rivers has struggled this season, and the team has followed his lead. They are playing well enough to win games, however, they cannot seem to pull them out late. The Chargers suffered through the same ineffectiveness last season, in a year that saw them finish dead last in the AFC West.
Both of these teams play in incredibly competitive divisions, so they understand the importance of every win. The Eagles have vaulted to the top of the NFC East this season, and are starting to win the close games. For the Chargers, they will likely be headed back to the cellar this season, but come into this game as the favorite, and have the firepower to pull this one off.
Odds
Line: Los Angeles (-1.0)
Over/Under: 47.5
This game should be loaded with offense, as both teams can put up points in bunches. The Chargers are a home favorite over the Eagles, which is surprising due to the fact they have not won a game this season. This line and over/under has changed a bit over the past week or so, so head on over to Sportsbook Review for any changes up until kickoff.

Prediction
Going west is always a hard thing for a team to do but the Eagles have something good going on this season. Winning a game in the fashion they did last week will propel them to come away with the road victory in Week 4, as they look to assert their dominance in the tough NFC East. The Chargers will keep it close but will find a way to lose another close one late.
Final Score: Eagles 28 Chargers 24
