DraftKings: NFL Week 4 best values

After Monday night we will officially be a quarter of the way through the NFL season. DraftKings is starting to regulate prices but there are still values to be exploited.

The NFL in Week 3 was a crazy one both before and during the game. Let’s hope Week 4 does not follow suit and we get back to normal.

This week, again, is filled with matchups that daily fantasy players can exploit. Values are ripe to be had across the board. First let’s take a brief look at how terrible the value plays were last week. Hint: they were really bad!

QB: DeShone Kizer (Carson Wentz)

RB: Theo Riddick (Duke Johnson)

WR: Devin Funchess (Davante Adams)

TE: Jared Cook (Jack Doyle)

DEF: Tennessee Titans (Cleveland Browns)

Starting with the quarterbacks, Kizer had a rough outing against a bad defense. His turnovers continue to pile up. The rookie did throw for two touchdowns and rush for another. While not a total disaster, it was also not the best value in that matchup. This would have been Jacoby Brissett who’s finding some rhythm in the Colts offense. Wentz, as a runner-up, put up a mediocre day with under 200 yards passing and a single score.

Running backs were actually surprisingly a good value. Theo Riddick disappointed with only four catches on the day, and not a single rushing attempt. The runner-up Duke Johnson had one of his best days as a professional. The Miami product finished with over 100 yards from scrimmage, including a touchdown and six catches.

Speaking of catches, Devin Funchess, even after a Kelvin Benjamin injury, only hauled in four of his 10 targets for 58 yards. The runner-up, Adams had three receptions on six targets for 60 yards. Neither found the endzone in their matchups.

Jared Cook at tight end scored the only touchdown for the Raiders while converting four of his six targets into 43 yards. Meanwhile, Jack Doyle and his relationship with Brissett, obviously was not as good as everyone thought. In a Colts’ offensive explosion, the young tight end was held to just two catches for 15 yards. Tight end continues to be a frustrating spot for fantasy owners.

Finally, the Titans defense allowed 27 points from the Seahawks with only a single sack on that porous offensive line. The runner up Browns did not fare much better. They registered three sacks and a fumble recovery but gave up 31 points negating most of that positive output.

Now that Week 3 is in the books, let’s look ahead to a bounce back Week 4 for the NFL and these DraftKings value picks.
