No. 10: Wisconsin Badgers

Ranking coming into Week 5: No. 10

Those pesky Wildcats from Northwestern gave the Badgers all they could handle on Saturday afternoon at Camp Randall, but the Badgers hung tough and remained unbeaten with a 33-24 win. The Badgers really don’t have too many games that are too tough on their slate, so a return trip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship Game is in the cards.

No. 9: TCU Horned Frogs

Ranking coming into Week 5: No. 9

Like Michigan, the Horned Frogs had a week off after a huge win in Stillwater last weekend against Oklahoma State. With Kenny Hill leading the way, TCU could be in play for the Playoff if they can get past Oklahoma down the line.

No. 8: Michigan Wolverines

Ranking coming into Week 5: No. 8

The Wolverines had the week off, so they’ll hang out in the No. 8 spot in the rankings with some huge matchups coming up, including Penn State in Happy Valley.

No. 7: Washington State Cougars

Ranking coming into Week 5: No. 16

“It’s like Woodstock, but everyone has their clothes on.” Never change, Mike Leach … you weird, alien/UFO-believing landmine of fantastic quotes. The Cougars pulled what you could call a “massive upset”, but make no mistake about it: Luke Falk is going to be playing on Sundays and Leach’s bunch are a good football team. This is a team to keep your eyes on to come out of the Pac-12 and make the College Football Playoff or seal the Pac-12’s Rose Bowl berth with a huge jump in this week’s projections.

No. 6: Georgia Bulldogs

Ranking coming into Week 5: No. 7

If anyone could dethrone Alabama in the SEC this season, it’s likely going to be one of two teams: in-state rival Auburn or Georgia. The Bulldogs absolutely mauled Tennessee down on Rocky Top on Saturday afternoon and added another solid victory to their Playoff resume. The Dawgs are just downright frightening defensively and with Nick Chubb running wild, Georgia could be for real. For real, Georgia fans. Believe the hype.
