LaVar Ball will homeschool his youngest son, LaMelo, for his remaining two years of high school.

LaVar Ball is at it again. The biggest of the big ballers has had enough with yet another high school coach. This time, it’s newly appointed Chino Hills High School basketball coach Dennis Latimore. Ball, is apparently fed up with Latimore’s coaching (despite him not having coached a game yet) and has decided to pull his youngest son, LaMelo, from Chino Hills. Ironically enough, the only thing Latimore did to anger LaVar was say that LaMelo needed to stop shooting 50 shots-a-game, which, he frankly isn’t in the wrong for demanding.

LaVar will now homeschool LaMelo for his remaining two years of high school. In addition, LaVar wants to train LaMelo to be “the best basketball player ever.” This is an insane antic, but we now expect decisions like this from LaVar. The Big Baller Brand Founder never ceases to amaze.

However, LaVar could end up training LaMelo for three years. Seeing as LaMelo is on the fast track to a lengthy NCAA suspension with his signature shoe, he may not even attend college at this rate. The UCLA commit was Chino Hills’ brightest star. Now, the high school is set to lose a lot of followers and publicity due to LaMelo’s departure.

Whether or not LaVar is a good coach is not the question. As we’ve seen in the past, the big baller himself knows his stuff. It’s actually quite a surprise that Chino Hills didn’t consider LaVar for the head basketball coaching job after he drove the last coach out. But, it’s also not a surprise at all. The decision is totally justified, but costly nonetheless.

The interesting part of this situation is imagining LaVar in a classroom setting. Oh, how much money we would give to go back to high school and have LaVar Ball teach a class.
