Panini has put the exclamation point on the 2016-17 NBA hobby season with its release of Immaculate Basketball.

With the NBA’s 2017 preseason now running on courts across the world, it’s a perfect time for the sports card industry to close the book on the 2016-17 season. Panini takes the lead in that endeavor with 2016-17 Panini Immaculate basketball.

As fans have come to expect from Panini, the set includes a strong representation of the NBA’s current stars and legends along with members of the 2016-17 rookie class in autographed and relic cards. What makes this set Immaculate, however, is the visual appeal of the cards and the unique memorabilia offerings.

Coming in hobby boxes which contain one six-card pack, at least five of those cards are guaranteed to either contain memorabilia or be signed. For collectors who splurge on a five-box case, that will mean they can add at least 25 autographs or relics to their collections.

It’s the components of the relic cards that really set this line apart. In addition to jumbo jersey swatches, patches, emblems, logos complement actual pieces of game-worn sneakers. Actual pieces of the shoes’ inner and outer walls, laces and tongues have been cut and inserted into the cards.

Multi-signed autograph cards also set Immaculate apart. Collectors will be able to pull dual, triple and even quad autos which will depict players who represent the same country, draft class, NBA team and more.

Perhaps the strongest aspect of the set is the design of the cards. The clean graphics and creative cut/positioning of the autographs and memorabilia pieces make each card unique even within its own subset.
