With the American League Wild Card game in the bag, the field is set for the AL Division Series. Here’s your updated 2017 MLB playoffs bracket.

It was a wild night in New York as the New York Yankees beat the Minnesota Twins 8-4 to advance to the American League Division Series. Next stop for the Yankees: Cleveland.

The first inning of the ALWC game saw Brian Dozier hit a solo shot into the stands in his first at-bat of his first postseason appearance. Another home run by Eddie Rosario drove in two more runs and put the Twins up 3-0 in the first. This forced Yankees manager Joe Girardi to bring in a new pitcher.

Things looked bleak for the Yankees until the bottom of the first when Didi Gregorius hit a three-run bomb to right field, tying the game. Brett Gardner’s homer in the bottom of the second put the Yankees in the lead, and they never looked back as they defeated the Twins 8-4. New York had a total of three home runs in the game, and despite the slow start they were dominant through the rest of the game. With the win, the New York Yankees secured their first postseason win since 2012.

New York moves on to the five-game American League Division Series against the reigning American League champion Cleveland Indians. The Indians (102-60) got a taste of the World Series in 2016 but lost the series to the Cubs. After going without a title since 1948, the Tribe is ready to get back to the World Series. Game 1 of the ALDS is on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
