Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman fuel a five-run eighth inning to give the Nationals the lead over the Cubs in the NLDS.
The Washington Nationals dropped their first game of the NLDS to the Chicago Cubs and heading into the eighth inning on Saturday night, it looked like they were going to drop the second game as well.
After an early one-run lead for the Nationals, a Willson Contreras homer un in the second inning tied it. Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give the Cubs a 3-1 lead.
And with Jon Lester on the mound giving up just two hits, it looked like the Cubs were going to return to Wrigley Field with a two-game lead in the series.
Enter Bryce Harper.
With Victor Robles on first base, Harper took a Carl Edwards Jr. pitch deep to tie the game. Nationals Park came back to life and it seemed to fuel the team.

Moments later, Ryan Zimmerman homered to give the Nationals the lead. The Cubs had swapped Mike Montgomery for Ewards on the mound and Anthony Rendon and Daniel Murphy were on base when Zimmerman stepped into the box.

The Nationals managed to pull out a 1-1 series record at home before going to Chicago. While 1-1 is better than being down in a 2-0 hole, the Nationals still have a tall order ahead of them.
