Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford practiced with the team again on Saturday, pointing to a possible start on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.

According to NBC Sports, Sam Bradford practiced with the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, opening the door for a possible start as the team travels to Chicago for a Monday night game against the Bears.

The oft-injured Bradford has been out since the Vikings Week 1 opener against the New Orleans Saints, when he went 27 of 32 for 346 yards and three touchdowns.

The Vikings have been unable to generate much of a passing game with Bradford out, losing two of three games and averaging only 193 passing yards per game in the losses to Pittsburgh and Detroit.

While having Bradford with the team may seem like a boost in practices, it may not be the best move to have his first game back happen on the treacherous turf at Soldier Field. The last thing the Vikings can afford is for Bradford to make a bad situation worse.

The Bears have been more than decent against the pass, and do have some guys in their front seven who could potentially do some damage if given the opportunity.

The following week, the Vikings will host the Green Bay Packers, which would seem a more likely scenario to see Bradford return to action. A short week for the rest of the team could be made a little easier with a rested and healthy Sam Bradford.

None of these decisions are made any easier by the loss of running back Dalvin Cook for the season. The Vikings recently signed veteran back Stevan Ridley to replace Cook’s spot on the roster.
