Seahawks at Rams: Highlights, score and recap
The Seahawks were looking to tie the Rams for the top spot in the NFC West in Week 5. Who came out of the divisional matchup on top?
The Seattle Seahawks looked like they’d dominate the NFC West before the season began, but they entered Week 5 behind the Los Angeles Rams in the division. Then, the two teams got together in Los Angeles on Sunday to settle the score.
The Rams looked strong in previous weeks on both sides of the ball, but the Seahawks found a way to get it done, coming out of the game with a 16-10 win on the road that came down to the final seconds.
Jared Goff and the Rams offense couldn’t capitalize on their four chances in the red zone with less than a minute left in the game to potentially win it at home and now the Seahawks have taken the lead in the division.
Although there wasn’t a ton going on offensively, we have highlights, stars and odds for the game below.
Highlights
Three Stars
1. Blair Walsh
It’s rare for a kicker to be the true star of a game, but this has happened a few times this year already. That said, it seems to only happen in a weak NFC West that can’t get anything done offensively and it happened again in Week 5 for the Seahawks when Blair Walsh went 3-for-3 on the day to help give the team the win.
2. Jimmy Graham
The Seahawks tight end caught the team’s lone touchdown of the day from Russell Wilson on a jump ball and the former basketball player showed his ups to snatch the pass to push the team for the win. It wasn’t a huge game offensively, but Graham contributed the key moment for the Seahawks on Sunday.
3. Entire Seahawks defense
This may not be allowed, but the Seahawks defense was stellar on Sunday, and we even saw Sheldon Richardson come away from the day with a win. They held a solid Rams offense to just 10 points and really gave Russell Wilson and the offense a chance to pull away at any point. Unfortunately for the Seahawks, however, the offense had to keep it close.

Odds
This game was a pick-em, according to Sportsbook Review, and the close score went along with those odds. However, hopefully, you picked the Seahawks and won some money on the day.
Next Week
The Seahawks will hope to take sole control of the division next week without playing as they head into their bye week while they watch the Rams travel to play a rolling Jacksonville Jaguars squad in Week 6.
