Week 6 of the college football season is in the books but recruiting never stops. Let’s take a look at the updated recruiting rankings.

Another week of college football action is in the books and Week 6 did not disappoint. Iowa State pulled off the unthinkable upset over Oklahoma and Michigan State defeated their top rival Michigan on the road.

This led to plenty of movement in the AP rankings, but was there as much movement in the recruiting ranks from last week? It’s been a relatively quiet season for the top-10 teams in the recruiting landscape for 2018, but Week 6 saw some movement.

Who jumped into the top 10 this week?

Let’s check out the 247Sports top 10 rankings after the sixth week of action:

  1. Ohio State: 18 commits
  2. Texas: 18 commits
  3. Penn State: 23 commits
  4. Miami: 19 commits
  5. Oregon: 23 commits
  6. Tennessee: 23 commits
  7. Florida State: 19 commits
  8. Florida:17 commits
  9. Notre Dame: 16 commits
  10. Oklahoma: 19 commits

There was one major riser in this week’s rankings and that was Florida State. The Seminoles jumped to No. 7 in the rankings thanks to a big commitment from four-star cornerback Houston Griffith. Hard to believe one pledge could jump a team from outside the top 10 to No. 7, but that’s how little movement there’s been this season.

Unfortunately, UCLA was dropped from the top 10 to make room for the Seminoles. Jim Mora’s Bruins are now at No. 11 in the 247Sports rankings.

Were there any changes in the ESPN recruiting rankings? Let’s find out. Now, here’s a look at the ESPN rankings after Week 6:

  1. Ohio State
  2. Texas
  3. Penn State
  4. Miami
  5. Tennessee
  6. Oregon
  7. Florida
  8. Florida State
  9. Oklahoma
  10. UCLA: 23 commits

Obviously, Ohio State remains on top of each poll so clearly Urban Meyer is killing it. The Bruins of UCLA remain at No. 10 in this one for the second straight week, holding off a surging Georgia program which jumped from No. 21 up to No. 11 in Week 6.
