With Game 4 of the NLDS between the Cubs and Nationals postponed to Wednesday, will Washington trot out Stephen Strasburg to the mound?
Game 4 of the NLDS between the Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals was scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon, with the Cubs looking to advance to another NLCS as they hold a 2-1 lead in the series. However, the game won’t be taking place on Tuesday after all, as some terrible weather that hit the Chicago area has forced the game to move to Wednesday instead.
Now the starting pitchers for Game 4 on Tuesday would see the Cubs trotting out Jake Arrieta while the Nationals would send Tanner Roark to the bump. With the postponement to Wednesday, there’s no question that Chicago will still send Arrieta out, however, the Nationals’ pitching situation has the opportunity to take a turn. More specifically, there’s a chance the Nationals could put ace Stephen Strasburg out there against the Cubs, who pitched 7 innings in the Game 1 loss.
But … that won’t be the case after all. Not long after the announcement of the postponement, Nationals manager Dusty Baker announced that Strasburg will not be starting Game 4 on Wednesday, rather Roark will be making his scheduled start in the series.
Dusty makes it official: Roark will start Game 4, not Strasburg. #NLDS

Dusty on Strasburg being available out of pen in G4: "I ain't even thinking about that, man. I'm thinking Tanner is going to do his thing."

Now if you’re asking why, well, apparently the reasoning they’re rolling with is the fact that Strasburg threw a bullpen on Tuesday prior to the game being called, in addition to the fact that he’s not feeling all that well.
Strasburg threw a bullpen today, which is among the reasons he won't start tomorrow.

Strasburg "is feeling under the weather" as is much of the Nationals team according to Dusty.

So there you have it, Strasburg will not be making the start like some thought he would after the postponement. This now will lead to a lot of questions about the decision here by Dusty Baker.
Basically, if the Nationals lose Game 4 on Wednesday with Roark on the mound, Baker will be questioned about this decision to no end for a very long time.
