What will it cost me to watch the NBA on League Pass?

NBA League Pass has changed the sport of basketball as we know it. You can now be a fan of the Utah Jazz living in Australia, and you can still watch every game of their season. This year the League Pass costs are quite reasonable. You can purchase a bunch of different packages. For $249.99, you can watch or listen to all the games this season with an in-arena stream during breaks so there will be no commercials, or you can pay $199.99 annually to watch all games but without the stream. The other deal is for $119.99, and this allows you to follow one team throughout the year. There are also cheaper options to try out one of those three plans on a month-to-month basis. You can check out all the subscriptions here.

Blackouts apply in certain markets, but you can always listen to the live audio of games or watch them at a later time,

Just to be clear. This isn’t an ad for League Pass, but if you are a basketball junkie then it is the way to see as many games as possible. You could purchase a cable subscription like DirectTV, but it won’t give you the same variety of options to watch your favorite teams.

ESPN’s Zach Lowe recently released his yearly list of best League Pass teams, and I generally agree with him. However, I think the Washington Wizards deserve a much higher ranking from Lowe. His top five are the 5. Philadelphia 76ers, 4. Houston Rockets, 3. Boston Celtics, 2. Oklahoma City Thunder and 1. Golden State Warriors. My top five would be the 5. Wizards, 4. Celtics,  3. Thunder, 2. Cleveland Cavaliers and 1. Warriors. It will be a fascinating year whether you are following on League Pass or not, and it should be fun to watch which teams rise to the challenge presented by the dominance of the Warriors and Cavaliers over the last three seasons.

The NBA is facing an interesting issue with possible player protests as this season’s start draws nearer, but the quality of basketball has never been higher. League Pass will probably see more subscriptions than ever this year, and you can be sure that FanSided will keep you posted on all your favorite teams regardless of how many games you are able to watch.
