Entering Week 6 of the NFL season, the Cleveland Browns have made the decision to go with a new quarterback against the Houston Texans.

The Cleveland Browns will take on the Houston Texans in Week 6 of the NFL season, and they will be doing so with a new starting quarterback. The Browns have decided to roll with Kevin Hogan this weekend against the Texans, and will place second-round pick DeShone Kizer on the bench. Hogan will be making his first NFL start, but he looked very good in one half of football against the New York Jets last weekend.

Staying with the quarterbacks, it looks like it will be all systems go for Tom Brady this weekend against the New York Jets. Brady was dealing with a sprained AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder earlier in the week, and was even forced to miss practice. He returned to practice on Wednesday, and will look to move his Patriots to 4-2 on the road against the Jets in Week 6.

The other New York team is going through some major turmoil, and it is starting to get ugly. On Wednesday, the Giants suspended cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for an extended period of time after he got into an argument with head coach Ben McAdoo inside the facility. Rodgers-Cromartie was pulled from the team’s loss against the Los Angeles Chargers this past weekend, and at this point, the Giants should blow this whole thing up and rebuild the roster.

Speaking on Adam Schefter’s podcast, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive lineman Gerald McCoy had some things to say about Roger Goodell. McCoy feels like there will be uproar if players are demanded to stand, which is what the NFL is trying to do. Goodell sent a letter to all 32 teams this week stating they must stand for the anthem, as he is looking for a uniform approach to this going forward.

In tonight’s Thursday Night Football matchup, we should be treated to a good one between the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams come into this game at 4-1 and are leading their respective divisions. It will be a battle between two of the better young quarterbacks in the NFC, as both Cam Newton and Carson Wentz are playing at the top of their games heading into this one.
