We have all the offseason moves necessary to fix each MLB team, so buckle up and get ready to make your favorite team great again!

The MLB hot stove is being preheated as we speak because for 22 teams, it is already the offseason. Pending free agents or players with opt-out dates in their contracts should already be meeting with their agents and coming up with a clever marketing strategy (find a way to spin those big power numbers in an era of inflated home runs!), front office executives have to decide whether or not to pull the plug on a manager and find a solid replacement, while Jerry Dipoto is working the phone as we speak.

Things won’t begin moving in earnest until after the World Series (because, you know, tampering), but it is not too early to begin hashing out the best moves that make the most sense for every MLB team this offseason. If your team did not make the playoffs, and you still want to eat, sleep and breathe baseball, it’s time to practice your armchair GMing.

Here is one move that each MLB team needs to make this offseason to keep the franchise headed in the right direction.

Arizona Diamondbacks: Re-sign J.D. Martinez

The Diamondbacks were able to rent J.D. Martinez from the Detroit Tigers for a song and dance, but that does not mean they should be content to let him walk this offseason. In only 62 games after being acquired, Martinez hit 29 home runs, drove in 65 and slashed .302/.366/.741. He has now hit .300/.362/.574 since becoming a full-time starter in 2014 with 128 home runs and 350 RBI.

Martinez will have no shortage of suitors on the open market. He is young enough not to fall into the same trap as Edwin Encarnacion last year and multi-dimensional enough to find a better deal than Mark Trumbo. The 30-year-old is the best power bat available this offseason.

Arizona has a very strong lineup with or without Martinez, but he is the perfect complement for star Paul Goldschmidt. The Diamondbacks may have some concerns about giving a massive contract to a right fielder who may need to DH in a few years, but he is young and athletic enough that it’s not a deal breaker.
