Nick Saban is the best coach in college football and he’s the best coach at press conferences because he tells it like it is and often goes on rants about the most innocent things. This is what coach will be ranting about this week.

Let’s not beat around the bush. Nick Saban is the goat. He’s the best coach working today and he’s the best college football coach in the history of the sport. But he’s also a bit rough around the edges which can rub some people the wrong way, especially when he goes off on the media for various perceived offenses or slights. The lastest Saban rant came last weekend after Alabama won a game against Texas A&M that was a lot closer than the prognosticators may have thought.

Saban took offense to the media hyping up his players and team to the point he termed the glowing praise as poison. Specifically, he called it rat poison, but the rat poison isn’t going to stop as the media is justified in their praise for the No. 1 team in the country who is the runaway favorite to win the national title this year.

I’m not on the radar for Coach Saban who is worried about getting past Arkansas on Saturday and Tennessee next week before playing LSU on the first Saturday in November. I’m trying to get that patented so it will be the official rivalry name for Alabama-LSU. But I do know Saban is going to find whatever he can to motivate his team to avoid any trap games or letdowns and this is what he’ll be ranting about in the week ahead.
