Juventus coughed up a 2-0 lead to Atalanta in their last Serie A game, settling for a draw. The draw marked the first time Juventus dropped points this season, trailing Napoli in the Serie A by two points. Lazio are fourth in the table, after picking up 16 of 21 points.

Juventus have scored 20 goals this season, trailing Napoli for the most in Serie A. Of the 20 goals, Paulo Dybala has scored 10 of them. The Argentina international has gotten off to an incredible start to the season and leads the league in scoring. However, for all the success that Juventus have had going forward with Gonzalo Higuain and Dybala, Massimiliano Allegri is still struggling to figure out which center-back pairing to play. Daniele Rugani and Medhi Benatia have split playing time next to Giorgio Chiellini in the starting XI but both have struggled. Rugani was given first chance to secure the starting position but has been overtaken by Benatia in the starting lineup lately. Juventus’ center-back problem might be solved when Benedikt Höwedes returns from injury but an extra player in the mix might make Allegri’s decision who to start harder.
Lazio’s 19 goals are the third highest total in Serie A, with Ciro Immobile scoring nine goals and adding three assists. Simone Inzaghi’s side is dealing with several injuries at the back that could force reverse players into the starting XI. Keeper Thomas Strakosha, left-back Jordan Lukaku, right-back Dusan Basta and center-backs Bastos and Wallace could all miss Saturday’s game. The injuries will put added pressure on Lazio to defend and might cause Inzaghi to implement a more defensive gameplan to try stealing a point from the defending champions.
