Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone on Sunday afternoon, which means fantasy owners are scrambling to replace him.

Early on in Sunday’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers suffered a shoulder injury. He was carted back to the locker room and there is a concern it could be serious.

Rodgers didn’t react very well to the hit and there’s certainly reason to believe it was a dirty hit. The ball had been thrown long before Rodgers was driven to the ground. It is being reported that Rodgers possibly broke his collarbone by Jay Glazer.

Hopefully, for Rodgers and his fantasy owners, this proves to just be a scare. If it’s not and Rodgers misses a significant amount of time, we here at FanSided have you covered.

There’s no real replacement for Rodgers. He’s elite in real life and fantasy. Fortunately, quarterback is a very deep position and you can still get by. You’re not going to find the ceiling that Rodgers brings but don’t panic. We’ll talk about options via trade and maybe even some QBs that are lingering on the waiver wire that can patchwork some numbers.

5. Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Winston is a bit of a weird case. If you watch him in game action, he can be maddening. He misses some easy throws and makes silly boneheaded decisions. Here’s the good news: fantasy owners don’t care because, at the end of the day, Winston has been over 300 yards passing in 3 of 4 games. Starting Winston is a roller coaster ride for sure. All you need is the numbers at the end of the day and Winston will provide them more often than not. He’s been over 4,000 yards passing in each of his first two seasons and saw in increase in touchdowns from Year 1 to Year 2. He’s on track to match his 28 TD passes from a year ago.
