College Football Playoff Rankings 2017: Projected top four after Week 7
By Brad Weiss
The Alabama Crimson Tide went up against an Arkansas team missing their quarterback on Saturday, and they certainly did not take it easy on the Razorbacks. The Crimson Tide blasted Arkansas by the score of 41-9, as they continue to show their dominance against their SEC foes. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for a score, and ran one in, though he did throw his first interception of the season.
Damien Harris shook off all haters, and defenders on Saturday, rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Alabama got out to a 24-0 halftime lead and was very business-like in disposing of the Razorbacks in this one. The defense played great, and outside of a November 25 matchup against Auburn, this Alabama team is not going to be challenged much the rest of the way.
Outside of allowing 23 points to Colorado State earlier in the year, Alabama has really not allowed a lot of points this season. In fact, they have allowed double-digit points only three times this season, and most of that comes in garbage time. Alabama can only compete with themselves at this point, and there is really no reason why they cannot get to a third straight national title game before all is said and done.

Alabama is the best they have been in a couple years, and that includes the team who won the national title after the 2015 college football season. Their offense has been dominant, and the most important thing is they have gotten only one turnover from quarterback Jalen Hurts in the passing game. Expect them to steamroll into the SEC Championship Game, where they just may have their hands full against expected SEC East champion, Georgia.
