NFL announcer Dick Stockton had a legendary Ron Burgundy moment during Sunday’s Rams-Jaguars game.

It’s not the easiest thing to get on national television and talk for three hours in front of millions of viewers. That’s the underappreciated task that NFL announcers have week in and week out, and with all that airtime there’s bound to be some slip-ups.

Fox Sports announcer Dick Stockton had one of those slip-up moments on Sunday. During his call of the Rams-Jaguars game, Stockton turned in an all-timer when he unintentionally channeled Ron Burgundy.

If you don’t know who Dick Stockton is, you’ll know him as soon as you hear him. Especially if you’re among the people keeping track of how many times he screws up a given broadcast.

You might have to listen to it a couple of times to get it. I’m not going to spoil how he screws this up, it needs to be organically consumed.

That’s not going to cut it.

Kudos to Dick for keeping on while everyone tells him how terrible he is at his job. Let’s see if you’ll be able to talk in front of millions of people at his age — chances are we won’t.
