NFL quarterback rankings, Week 7: Cam Newton struggles
Norm Snead Division
12. Deshaun Watson (Prev: 17)
Watson has been nothing short of spectacular for the Texans since being inserted full-time into the starting lineup. Through 5.5 games, Watson has thrown for a league-high 15 touchdowns despite having DeAndre Hopkins and nothing else on the outside. This youngster is a star.
11. Kirk Cousins (Prev: 11)
Cousins continues to put himself in line for a huge payday. The former Michigan State standout has thrown for 1,334 yards with nine scores and two picks in five games, propelling the Redskins to a 3-2 start. He has a tough test coming up in Philadelphia on Monday night.
10. Ben Roethlisberger (Prev: 12)
After throwing five interceptions against the the Jaguars, Roethlisberger only tossed one against the Chiefs but could have thrown another. He needs to raise his game for the Steelers, but history tells us that will happen as the weather gets colder.
9. Carson Wentz (Prev: 10)
Wentz has been everything Eagles fans could ask for and then some. The second-year man has thrown for 1,584 yards with 13 touchdowns and only three interceptions. Wentz is a huge reason the Eagles are arguably the NFC’s best team.
