8. Matthew Stafford (Prev: 9)

Stafford threw for over 300 yards on Sunday in the Lions’ loss to the Saints, but also tossed an uncharacteristic three interceptions. For the season, Stafford has 1,428 yards with 12 touchdowns and four picks, making him one of the NFL’s elite.

7. Dak Prescott (Prev: 8)

Prescott has been surrounded by a horrible defense and a diminished Ezekiel Elliott. With Elliott now suspended, Prescott will have to shoulder even more of the load. We’re about to find out if he deserves this lofty spot in the rankings.

6. Matt Ryan (Prev: 6)

Ryan is mostly this high based off of history and an MVP season a year ago. This season has been a struggle through five games, with six touchdowns against six interceptions. if the Falcons want a repeat trip to the Super Bowl, that ratio has to get better.

5. Philip Rivers (Prev: 7)

Rivers has the Chargers back in the playoff hunt with two big road wins. The veteran has 1,633 passing yards — fourth in the league — with 10 touchdowns. This week, he faces a tough Broncos defeat looking to bounce back.
